Overview

Filli Café Port Louis, designed by Mashal Architects under the direction of Ar. Ahmed Mashal, brings the brand’s global café culture to Mauritius. With warm earthy finishes, terrazzo detailing, and a layout designed for conversation, the project translates the spirit of Tea n’ Talk into a modern, international setting.

The interiors are defined by warm terracotta tones, textured plaster walls, terrazzo tabletops, and soft wooden seating. Natural greenery softens the geometry, while large-scale pendant lights add sculptural presence. The use of subtle lighting highlights textures and creates a layered ambience, blending comfort with modern sophistication.

The layout encourages social connection through intimate booth seating along the walls and flexible arrangements of café tables at the center. The counter anchors the space with a bold yet minimal presence, designed for efficiency while reinforcing brand identity. The overall atmosphere merges contemporary hospitality design with the familiar warmth of Filli, making the café a social hub in Port Louis.
